Waukesha County Seniors Monday Golf League

ARIZONA  SKIES

MAY 14

Yes, yes, yes!  This is what we've been waiting for.  I don't care what color tees we chose to play from, the red, the golf, or the white.  The prevalent color of the day was BLUE -- the cloudless blue of the skies that hovered over the golfers that meandered around the Nag today.

It's days like these that make us think twice why we are really out there.  Maybe playing the game is not the primary reason we do this.  It could very well be the blues and the greens that surround us while we pretend to play like those guys on TV.  It may be the guys we joke with, the birds we hear, the occasional turkey strutting across our paths.  Whatever it is, today certainly made the trip well worth it.

There were 133 guys that enjoyed the course and the weather -- that's over 95% of our spots.  Pretty good for May.  They turned in scores that were pretty good too: 26 18-holers broke 90 while 16 in the 9-hole group shot below 50.  To make it even sweeter, honor scores included Buz Whettam (77), Tom Martin (79) and Jerry Wolf (79).

  Here's how everybody did:
