ANNUAL LETTER TO MEMBERS
February 8, 2010
Dear Senior Par Plus Golfers,
I’m trying to reach everyone in a timely manner, so I’m sending out an e-mail letter…first! I need you to respond to my e-mail with an e-mail to henningrichard@hotmail.com confirming that you got the e-mail. This simple response will eliminate duplicate work on my part. Once I know that your e-mail has been received and opened, I don’t have to send a snail-mail letter.
If you are receiving this letter as snail-mail (US Post Office), then I don't have a functioning e-mail address for you. If you received this as snail-mail and you have a functioning e-mail address, please send an e-mail to me at henningrichard@hotmail.com and I will add your e-mail to my data base.
We are working on finalizing the Rosters and Schedule for the 2010 Season, so we are asking everyone to respond to this letter by sending your Information Form and Check as soon as possible. We can’t finalize the Team Rosters, the Alternate List, or the Schedule, until we have your responses. We will try to honor all requests, but everything is done on a “first here, first served” basis. We have learned that we can’t honor requests without a commitment on the part of the player, so send Ed Matarrese your Member Information Form and your check as soon as possible.
This year our sixteen-week Monday Senior Par Plus Golf League includes the start of the Season on May 3rd and ending on August 30th The Tournament will be on September 13th. We can not schedule sixteen weeks of golf and The Tournament between the beginning of May and the end of August, since we can not play on Memorial Day, Independence Day, or Labor Day.
The Green Fees have been increased to $20.75 for eighteen holes and $13.25 for nine holes. This is a $.25 increase for those playing eighteen holes. Every Member of the Senior Par Plus Golf League must pay the $25.00 Membership Fee.
Team Members of the Senior Par Plus Golf League must pay their Membership Fee and Green Fees to Senior Par Plus Golf, when they request a team placement. Eighteen-Hole Team Members will pay $357.00. This includes sixteen rounds at $20.75 and the Membership Fee of $25.00. Nine-Hole Team Members will pay $237.00. This includes sixteen rounds at $13.25 and the Membership Fee of $25.00.
Alternate Members of the Senior Par Plus Golf League must pay their Membership Fee of $25.00 to Senior Par Plus Golf, when they request a placement on the Alternate List.
Alternate Members of the Senior Par Plus Golf League will pay their Green Fees when that Alternate Member plays for a Team Member. The Alternate Member should pay one of the Team Members at the start of the round ($20.75 for 18 holes or $13.25 for 9 holes).
No SPPG Members should pay Membership Fees or Green Fees to the Golf Course. The price for a riding cart remains the same at $16.00 for eighteen holes and $10.00 for nine holes.
Everyone should make their check payable to “Senior Par Plus Golf” and mail the check and their completed Member Information Form to our Treasury Functionary: Ed Matarrese, 2330 S Graylog Lane, New Berlin, WI 53151.
The Tentative 2010 Teams, the Team Schedule, and the Alternate List are available on the web site. These will change as requests are received. The Finalized 2010 Teams, Schedule, and Alternate List will also be made available at the Clubhouse at the beginning of the season. If you wish me to send you a hard copy of the Finalized 2010 Teams, Schedule, and Alternate List, please let me know by snail-mail or by calling 262-533-3020.
If you know of anybody who might be interested in joining our League, please share our phone numbers, e-mail addresses, and snail-mail addresses. Ed Matarrese and I are always willing to welcome new prospects. You could also share the web site at http://www.seniorparplusgolf.com . Ed Matarrese continues his fantastic work on our web site.
Sincerely,
Your Functionaries,
Richard Henning Ed Matarrese

HANDICAP INDEXES AVAILABLE
If you click onto the Handicaps page, you will see a slight change to
our usual Naga-Waukee handicap listing. Because we are now including the entire 18
hole scores for the 18 holers, we are adding the 18 hole handicap for those players. On
the extreme right hand column is the 18 hole Handicap Index for evryone. This number can
be used when you are playing on a course other than Naga-Waukee and would like to know your
handicap for that particular course. By looking up your Index number on the different
course's posted Handicap Sheet, you can readily find your handicap for that course. Of
course if you're just playing nine holes, just divide it in half.
If any SPPG member needs a handicap card to use for entering a tournament or for any other
reason, let me know and I will print you up one.
